My name is Craig, I’m a 25 year old student & nerd, and this is my personal website. When I was a young kid, I was always interested in having my own website. At the time, I didn’t realize the process was that simple. By the time I turned 18 back in 2015, and acquired a debit card from my bank, I decided to buy a domain and cheap VPS. This website has been around since then.
I have been fascinated by computers and how they work since a young age. I remember when I was about 4 years old, I used to change the settings on our old iMac to see how I could customize the computer. I also learned how to change the settings on my grandparents old Windows 98 PC and had a very fun time customizing the 3D Maze screensaver. As I got older and things progressed I progressed with them, and I started learning new tricks in things like Mac OS X and Windows XP, Windows 7, and eventually, Linux. Around the time I turned 13, I realized that a career in computers was my calling.
I also enjoyed some of the games I could play on the computer, such as LEGO Island, Roller Coaster Tycoon, and this typing game for the Mac (that I can’t remember the name of at the moment). I also started playing with things like the Nintendo GameBoy, DS, and Wii, but I never lost my passion for PC gaming. I currently game on the Nintendo Switch and PC, but I do keep a Wii, 2DS, and GBA around for nostalgic purposes.
Currently, as stated above, I am a student. I’m studying for my AAS degree in Computer Networking & Cybersecurity at Central Oregon Community College in Bend, OR. I found during A+ training that I was very good at cybersecurity & cyber defense, and wanted to learn more about this industry.
When I’m not studying, learning more about how computers work, or working, I can be found gaming, fishing, golfing, driving my car, listening to music (especially Kraftwerk and Daft Punk), or just hanging with my friends. I also like to travel, and would love to see more of the world.
